Funded Companies

 

Purpose:

SAYAB’s program grants exist to support the sustainability of leading professional youth arts organisations by providing financial resources to enable them to:

  • produce quality annual programs of innovative artistic direction.
  • develop a strong management base and organsiational profile.
  • attract significant partnerships and additional financial security.
  • create high-quality new work by and/or for children and/or young people

Eligibility:

  • Established arts organisations only may apply for Program Grants
  • The organisation must be an incorporated body creating annual programs of work for or by children and/or young people.
  • The organisation must have previously received Program funding and/or Project & Development funding from SAYAB.
  • Timeframe: must be for activity that will occur in the next calendar year.
  • Program proposals are expected to be for collected activity that will comprise at least twelve months duration.
  • Status of review and acquittal requirement for previous SAYAB funding.

Organisation currently in receipt of program funding are:

  • Australian Festival for Young People (aka Come Out)
  • Cirkidz
  • D’Faces of Youth Arts, Whyalla
  • Kurruru Indigenous Youth Performing Arts Inc.
  • Musica Viva (SA) in schools
  • Patch Theatre Company
  • Restless Dance Company
  • Riverland Youth Theatre
  • Southern Youth Theatre Ensemble
  • Urban Myth: Theatre Of Youth

Further Information:

Applications are called for once a year, in June, for activity in the following calendar year.
Recipients of Program Grants will enter into a Performance Agreement with the South Australian Youth Arts Board.
Funding is provided on an annual basis. Once an organisation is in receipt of Program Funding, it is expected that the funding will be continued annually - subject to successful annual review & acquittal and the availability of SAYAB’s Government allocation.
