Musica Viva In Schools is an internationally recognised music resource
available to schools throughout Australia and Singapore.
This
unique program aims:
- to present live,
high quality music to students in schools
- develop quality
teaching and learning materials (book of activities and CD for each
ensemble)
- provide relevant
professional development for teachers.
The Musica Viva In Schools program complements the music syllabuses
with performances reflecting the diversity of the music curriculum and
resource material written by experienced music educators to support
current educational practice.
The following Musica Viva In Schools ensembles are based in and tour
South Australia.
- Viva Baroque!
vocal & instrumental Baroque quartet
- The Rhythm Works
percussion quartet
In
1999 Sirocco, a contemporary world music trio from Sydney, will tour
interstate to perform in South Australian schools.
