Changes to Playfull

For the past 10 years Carclew has offered support to over 100 South Australian companies and independent performance artists through its Playfull – Live Performance and Workshops for Schools program. Through the on-line resource and the annual Performance Expo teachers have had access to a broad range of quality-accredited performances, suited to all ages from CPC–Year 12.

Since September 2010, when Carclew presented its final Playfull Expo at the Forge Theatre at Marryatville High School, Playfull has been under review.

Feedback, through on-line surveys and consultation with teachers, artists and quality-accreditation panel members confirmed that Playfull has been much loved and valued but to continue it without funding support would compromise its integrity.

The good news is that while Playfull will not continue as a program Carclew is committed to supporting South Australian teachers and artists work together to ensure students have access to high quality, relevant and entertaining arts experiences.
