Off The Couch (OTC) is a music program created especially to provide industry exposure and experience for bands, musicians and budding event managers.

Bands have the opportunity to play in professional gigs in some of Adelaide’s hottest venues. Many well-known SA bands played their first public gigs at an OTC show. This is an invaluable opportunity for young bands to gain the exposure to propel them forward in the music industry.

The Off The Couch team will learn the tricks of the trade from music and events industry professionals in weekly training sessions. Here they will learn to program, promote and produce gigs and will assist with the event management of six Off The Couch live music shows.

OTC engages music lovers on many levels – as event coordinators, promoters, stage managers, musicians and audiences.

In 2011 there will be six Off The Couch live music events held in various venues around Adelaide. Call out for bands, musicians and team members for 2011 will take place late 2010. For more information, please contact Carclew Youth Arts.
